Hilton Head Island Rotary Club Supports SADAG

The Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island’s continued support for SADAG (South African Depression and Anxiety Group) in South Africa, has enabled their trainers to visit 3 more High Schools in February 2014. The 3 schools were visited over a 2 week period in Pretoria, Diepsloot and Boksburg by 9 trainers and 5 observers from SADAG to counsel a total of 3297 students in 82 classrooms, as well as meeting with 109 teachers.

Training was carried out classroom by classroom, allowing for plenty of Q&A, and also giving out wristbands with the 800 help number, leaflets that had been overprinted with our Rotary logo, and some Speaking Books. The School Principals wrote letters of thanks to SADAG and Rotary.

On behalf of Zane and her team at SADAG, thank you all so much for your support. We are making a real difference and saving lives. You will be impressed to know that this nationally recognized program has now visited more than 470 schools to counsel over 700,000 children.
